Biography

Strengths/Values

Context: I understand the present by researching history. This strength connects to my life as a sort of compass. The success of my personal and professional path partly relies on what I have observed in myself and others' experiences. This research of history plays an integral part in how I approach strategic planning in any given work project. There is a lot of information out there if you take the time to find it and weave it into your life and work plans.

Responsibility: I take ownership of what I say and do. I am committed to stable values such as honesty and loyalty. These values serve me well in life and in my work. Following through on my word and work projects propel me to work hard. Loyalty is a constant in my life-my friends, family, and colleagues know that they can rely on me and I just love the feeling that gives me.

Relator: I enjoy relating to others. I find satisfaction in working hard with friends and colleagues to achieve a goal. This particular strength helps me as I give pause to the opinions and experiences of others before plowing through on a project. My experience has taught me that diverse voices most often result in a stronger outcome. Relating to others in this way has expanded my understanding and has strengthened my worldview.

Strategic: I enjoy finding creative alternatives in any path forward. I have a capacity for spotting relevant patterns and issues. This strength allows me to evaluate accurately potential obstacles, play out alternative scenarios, and discard paths that are not useful. I believe when you are armed with a concrete strategy, the chance of success in life increases exponentially.

Learner: I love to learn and the process of learning in particular – it's exciting for me which is one of the reasons I was drawn to Bryn Mawr in the first place. I thrive in dynamic work environments where project assignments require me to accumulate knowledge.

My first job after college: An Assistant Interior Designer for Bennington Interiors in Harrisburg, PA where I assisted the Principal Designer in all aspects of residential and commercial design/build projects. This position was exciting as I got to do spacial design, draw elevations and render interior drawings, create material boards, engage with clients, as well as organize and oversee our construction crew.

One thing I enjoy outside of work: fine art painting and drawing!

A cause I am passionate about: food insecurity and food programs

I live in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia with my partner, Rochelle.
