Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Psychology

The Department of Psychology at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, tenure- track Assistant or Associate Professor position to begin August 1, 2027, in Behavioral Neuroscience. The successful candidate will be expected to have a robust research agenda that will engage undergraduate students. The area of research specialty is open, but we have a preference for candidates whose research engages questions about linkages between the brain and behavior in animal models. We are interested in broadly trained candidates who will enhance departmental offerings in biological areas and strengthen the department’s contributions to the Bi-College (Bryn Mawr College and Haverford College) major in Neuroscience. The successful candidate will supervise student research and teach across the curriculum, including an introductory course in neuroscience, an intermediate-level survey course in behavioral neuroscience, an advanced course in the candidate’s areas of expertise, and a research methods laboratory course in behavioral neuroscience. A Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a closely related field is required by the start date, and post-doctoral research experience is desirable.

To apply for this position, candidates must submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching philosophy, and a research statement to the Psychology Department Search Committee via Interfolio at: https://apply.interfolio.com/189819. Applications received by September 13, 2026, will receive full consideration. In addition, candidates should arrange for three letters of recommendation to be submitted via Interfolio to the Psychology Department Search Committee.
