ABOUT THE INSTITUTION

Bryn Mawr College’s Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research (GSSWSR) is rooted in Quaker values. As a college and graduate school, we are deeply committed to transforming the world for the better, with a strong emphasis on advocating for groups that are oppressed or marginalized in our society. Many of our graduates serve in the nonprofit and public sectors.

Since 2004, the GSSWSR has been home to the Nonprofit Executive Leadership Institute (NELI), a training institute that supports nonprofit professionals' growth and leadership skills. As the GSSWSR has worked to imagine a post-pandemic future, NELI was reconceptualized into the Center for Student Success and Social Sector Leadership. “The Center” will build on NELI’s legacy and structure with programming that is accessible and responsive to the needs of our GSSWSR students, alumni, and community-based organizations.

COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement for all positions at the College. New hires are expected to be fully vaccinated before beginning work at the College.
