Financial Aid Counselor

Bryn Mawr College has an opening for a Financial Aid Counselor.

THE POSITION

Reporting to the Dean of Financial Aid, the Financial Aid Counselor will counsel and advise students about various aspects of the financial aid office, including financial aid eligibility, application procedures, aid programs, costs, indebtedness, and money management; perform need analysis for domestic and international students, determine financial aid eligibility and prepare financial aid awards; and other duties as assigned by the Dean of Financial Aid. Ability to individualize information to the particular needs and situation of the student is required to help families understand various funding resources and the College’s financial aid policies and procedures.

Bachelor’s degree required, one or more years of financial aid experience preferred or any combination of experience, education or training which provides the required skills, abilities and knowledge. Computer skills, communication skills, problem solving, and customer service skills are all desired; PowerFAIDs experience preferred.
