Join LITS for an end-of-year mini-symposium to share the past year’s experiences with AI and kick off a community of practice for the coming year. 

Registration by May 1 is required for the buffet lunch during the 12pm panel discussion; otherwise drop in and out as your schedule allows.

10:15 am — Preliminary MISO Findings about AI Use at Bryn Mawr and Peers
David Consiglio, Director of Assessment, Learning Spaces and Special Projects

Recent iterations of the MISO (Measuring IT Service Outcomes) survey, which since 2005 has been administered at over 200 higher education institutions, have included questions about faculty, staff and student AI use, importance, skills, and interest in learning skills. Dave will preview some of the most interesting findings, including results from Bryn Mawr College’s spring 2026 survey.

11am  From Prompt to Practice: Using AI to Build Better Assessments
Dr. Kathryn Keefe, Assistant Professor of Biomedical Education and Data Science, Lewis Katz School of Medicine, Temple University

Curious how AI can improve your teaching materials? In this hands-on workshop, you’ll use AI tools to create or revise your own assessment items. We’ll combine evidence-based question design with practical prompting strategies so you leave with materials you can use immediately. (Bring a laptop!)

12pm — Discoveries and Experiences from the AI, Pedagogy and the Curriculum Institute

In this panel discussion, Evan Arena Jen CallaghanKelly FrantzJennifer Spohrer and Chanelle Wilson will discuss what they learned and experienced while participating in this year-long institute hosted by the AAC&U. The institute mixed webinars on topics related to incorporating AI into teaching and learning with hands-on experimentation with applying it in projects of the team members’ design.
