FGLI Fridays: FAFSA Workshop
Nov
15
2019
1:15pm - 2:30pm
On Campus Event - Guild, Room 203

Please bring a laptop or iPad with you so you can actually do the application during the workshop. (Please note that Canaday Library will lend you a laptop; just make sure you have enough time to go borrow it before the workshop!)
What to bring:
- Laptop
- Your FSA ID and your parent FSA ID user name and password (to log in and to sign the FAFSA)
- Your income (whether that is W2s and/or tax returns)
- Your parent(s)’s income (W2s and tax returns- the new tax returns split out the information that used to all be on the first page- so you would need the 1040 and all the schedules that come with it which most families have schedule 1-3—for example schedule 1 has business income, schedule 2 has taxes paid- which is important, schedule 3 has education credits ). Note: this should be from 2018, as the FAFSA looks at income from two years prior.
This week’s event will feature staff from the financial aid office to walk you through completing your FAFSA for next academic year.
