Tri-Co Philly Program Student Information Session at BMC

Students are invited to apply for the Fall 2023 Tri-Co Philly Program, an initiative to connect students to the city. This semester-long program offers students a host of curricular and co-curricular activities in Philadelphia. Students enroll in two urban-focused courses taught in Philadelphia and also participate in monthly Philadelphia-based activities. Students who will be sophomores, juniors and seniors in fall 2023 are eligible to apply.

  • Public Art, Historical Preservation and the Ethics of Commemoration PHIL B234
  • Epidemic City: Philadelphia from Yellow Fever to COVID-19 HLTH H2XX
  • Environmental Justice in Philadelphia ENVS 035/SOAN 035

Friday 12:15-3 p.m. is an occasional meeting time for program students only.

Tri-Co Philly Program Procedures for Applicants 

1. Interested students must attend a Philly Program Student Information Session. There is one scheduled at each campus in March and one online.

  • Haverford: Tuesday, Mar. 21, 2023 | 7-8 p.m. | Dining Center 119, Swarthmore Room
  • Swarthmore: Thursday, Mar. 23, 2023 | 7-8 p.m. | Trotter Hall, Room 201
  • Bryn Mawr: Tuesday, Mar. 28, 2023 | 7-8 p.m. | Dalton Hall 25
  • Online: Thursday, Mar. 30, 2023 | 7-8 p.m. | Register

2. Following attendance at a Tri-Co Philly Program Student Information Session, students can apply for the Tri-Co Philly Program. Students unable to attend an information session must meet with the Tri-Co Philly Program director, Calista Cleary ( or 610-795-1576), prior to applying.

3. The Tri-Co Philly Program application is due Friday, Mar. 31, by 11:59 p.m. Note: this is before the start of all Tri-Co pre-registrations periods.
