Temporary Injuries

Students who suffer a temporary injury (concussion, broken arm, sprained ankle, etc.) and who require assistance should reach out to the Department of Athletics (if appropriate), their Dean and their professors. Deans will collaborate with professors to provide support and develop a management plan that may include temporary modifications during the convalescent period.

Access Services will consult with Deans and professors as needed in these situations. However, if the convalescent period is prolonged (i.e. extends several months), students are welcome to reach out to Access Services and begin the determination of eligibility for more permanent accommodations. In this situation, Access Services will likely request updated documentation, as appropriate.
