The Slade Society
A Circle of Leaders
The Caroline McCormick Slade Society recognizes the exceptional commitment of alumnae/i, families, and friends who make leadership gifts to Bryn Mawr. The Slade Society is comprised of a small group of members — just over 10 percent of donors — who make a big impact in the lives of students, contributing more than 75 percent of unrestricted dollars each year. Membership in The Slade Society begins with a gift of $2,500 or more with special levels for young alumnae/i and graduating seniors.
Established in 2000, the Slade Society is named in honor of one of Bryn Mawr's first fundraising volunteers. In 1919, Caroline Slade raised close to $2.5 million to support faculty salaries — a remarkable sum at the time. Today, the generosity of Slade Society members supports the College's excellence and innovation by funding financial aid, competitive faculty salaries, technological resources, and maintaining our historic campus.
