All on campus student club and organization meetings, activities, events, and off campus travel have been canceled for the Spring 2020 semester. Student clubs and organizations who wish to use their SGA allocated budget must submit a request to the SGA treasurers by completing the Virtual Club Events Form.
Student clubs and organizations may continue to meet virtually and plan virtual events which are free of cost without prior approval. No invoices or reimbursements can be submitted to SGA for these events. Clubs and organizations that were in the middle of contracted activities must receive approval from SGA for the remainder of the payment to be issued as all contracts for activities taking place after Spring Break have been terminated.
Students who participate in campus life opportunities outside the classroom discover an ideal learning laboratory for gaining essential personal and professional skills such as analysis, decision making, time management, communication, delegation, motivation, problem solving, and budgeting. Service to the College community through student activities is personally rewarding and provides opportunities to meet other students, develop relationships, promote change on campus and explore new interests.
The Office of Student Activities and Orientation strives to create a vibrant, purposeful, and supportive college community where students make a difference, develop healthy and meaningful relationships with others, advocate for their interests, learn about themselves, and develop leadership and life skills.
