The College provides housing on campus from the day after Commencement until mid-August to those students who choose to live on campus because of work or other commitments. A housing agreement is required and must be submitted to the Conferences and Events office at least two weeks prior to anticipated arrival. Students are housed in Erdman Hall during the summer.
The College has a difference pace in the summer. There is an active program of residential summer conferences that utilize the College facilities: dorms, dining halls, classrooms, gymnasium, theater, etc. Not all academic year services are provided and some departments reduce their service offerings to students. Please note the following and check departmental websites for the most current information:
Dining Services is available to students for meals during summer conference operations. The schedules and menus are focused on the summer clients and vary from the academic year menus and offerings. Dining Services will do their best to accommodate students who elect to stay on campus. Students who stay on campus must participate in the minimal 10 meal per week plan. Please contact them at email@example.com with any menu questions or specific needs.
The Residential Life office employs a student Hall Advisor for the summer housing dorm(s). he HA helps with the administrative operations of the dorm in conjunction with the Conferences and Events office. The HA helps foster a sense of community in the dorm by organizing events for residents throughout the summer. The HA also provides information about available College services and endeavors to help students utilize appropriate resources in both emergency and everyday situations.
The Health Center is closed from the Sunday of graduation weekend until the end of August. Students are advised to seek care at local urgent care settings (CVS Minute Clinic or Premier Urgent Care in Villanova) or the Bryn Mawr Hospital emergency department.
Counseling Services is closed from the Sunday of graduation weekend until the end of August.
