Student Summer Housing on Campus

Summer student housing will be available on campus for Bryn Mawr students in 2024 who will be working on campus.  Because of extensive wiring projects in three residence halls, on-campus housing will be limited.  Haverford College is offering apartments this summer to Bryn Mawr students.  If, interested, please send an email to no later than Friday 19 April (do not contact Haverford directly as we have streamlined the application process for the apartments).

Please read below to make sure you are eligible to live on campus this summer.

1 – Rising sophomores, juniors and seniors enrolled in a Bryn Mawr College summer program or working for a Bryn Mawr College department, office or program are eligible to live on campus this summer.  This includes those receiving fellowships or internships from Bryn Mawr College.

2 – Graduated seniors may be allowed to live on campus this summer if they have an on-campus job, depending on availability.

3 – Haverford students may be allowed to live at Bryn Mawr this summer if they are doing research or working at Bryn Mawr, depending on availability.

4 – Students with internships off campus may be allowed to live on campus, depending on availability.

Please complete the summer room and board agreement here.

Summer Residence Halls

The summer residence halls for 2024 will be Brecon and Erdman. Because of the shortage of on campus air/conditioned space, all doubles in Brecon will be used as doubles. Should demand exceed supply, a mini room draw will be held on Tuesday 23 April.

Summer housing begins when the residence halls close for the academic year at 12noon on Sunday 19 May.  If you sign up for housing to begin that date, plan to move between 9 a.m. and Noon on Sunday May 19 May 2024. Unfortunately, we cannot make exceptions to this date and time.

Your room and board plan includes 10 meals/week, your choice. The summer dining location will be either New Dorm Dining Hall or Erdman, depending on the dates, with other weeks for meals in UnCommon Grounds.  Specifics about meals and times will be posted later in spring.

The Bryn Mawr Libraries will be open with a summer schedule. Hours will be listed here:

The Mailroom will be open all summer. If you will be a summer resident on campus, please let the Mailroom staff know so that your mailbox can be kept open this summer.

Athletic Facilities

The Bern Schwartz complex will be open this summer.  Specific days and times will be announced later in spring.

The Bookshop will be open all summer with limited hours. Specific days and times will be announced later in spring

Health and Wellness Center/Counseling Services

The on-campus College Health Center will be closed this summer but 610-517-4921 will be active all summer for student's medical concerns. Students requiring medical care or who have COVID issues, should call Team Health at 610-527-4921 to be connected with a medical provider.  If the student is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, they should call Campus Safety at 610-526-7911.  A member of the BMC medical services staff will follow up with all Team Health calls to ensure that there is a plan of care in place for the student after the call is placed.

Mental health support is available through our MySSP app. MySSP provides 24/7 remote mental health and well-being support to BMC students. These services are offered at no cost to students and aims to support the well-being of BMC students. For more information on MySSP,

Students should also check the Counseling Services Resources webpage for additional information. If the student is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, they should call Campus Safety at 610-526-7911 for immediate assistance.

There are no transportation services in the summer. The Blue Bus will resume when classes start at the end of August.
