External Funding Opportunities
Spin Database
The Office of Sponsored Research subscribes to the SPIN database, providing community members with access to the world's largest database of sponsored funding opportunities (access provided to community members connected to the Bryn Mawr network). Bryn Mawr's access allows users to search funding opportunities by keywords and to set and record parameters (e.g. geographic region, type of funding, etc.). The site also provides useful training videos for how to best use the database.
The Grant Advisor
The College also subscribes to The Grant Advisor, another excellent resource for information about fellowships and grants in higher education. The Grants Advisor compiles convenient lists of current funding opportunities by research area:

Faculty Research Pool
The Faculty Research Pool is for the remuneration of minor expenses related to research and publication. Tenured, tenure track and continuing faculty may claim up to $650 per year. Professors holding named chairs may have other research funds and are not eligible to apply. Nona Smith, Director of Sponsored Research, administers the fund.
To submit a reimbursement request, complete the Research Pool Form.
Student Funding Opportunities
Funding opportunities for student researchers can be found using the SPIN database (logged in from a Campus computer). In addition, student researchers can consult with the Leadership, Innovation, and Liberal Arts Center (LILAC) for help finding funding opportunities and preparing research proposals.
