Reggie is a Bryn Mawr College alumna, licensed clinical social worker, and educator. She was born in South Carolina and grew up in North Philadelphia. Her self-care includes hanging out with her daughter and dog, gardening (pulling weeds is the best!), reading afro sci-fi and playing board games.
Associate Director of Counseling
Polly is a Bryn Mawr alumna and a licensed clinical social worker who lives with her long-time partner and her dog, Jasper. She loves reading fiction and nonfiction, watching dramas on Netflix and the BBC, and is a political junky.
Administrative Assistant and First-Year Graduate Social Work Intern
Tisa Baena is a lifelong Philadelphian. She is the administrative assistant in Counseling Services, and this academic year also completing her graduate social work internship as a case manager in the Health Center. She loves hiking, reading, tennis, and good conversation. She is working on her addiction to NPR—but not too hard.
Post Graduate Clinical Social Work Fellow
Katherine is one of the post-graduate clinical social work fellows. She is a first generation Jamaican-American. Primarily raised in coastal New England, Katherine appreciates cool weather, all things shellfish, and wool sweaters. Her self-care includes making pottery, singing in the car, sitting with a meditation group, and watching (many) medical dramas.
Ruth began working in the Counseling Service in 2018. Having lived and gone to medical school in New York City, she did her psychiatry residency in Philadelphia at Jefferson. She has studied dance and karate and, for the last 15 years, practices tai chi. She enjoys reading, writing poetry, time spent with family and friends, travel, and museums.
Aury is a licensed clinical social worker and educator. Born and raised in Miami, Fla., they are Cuban-American and fluent in Spanish. Aury’s self-care includes mindfully exploring nature, dancing while cooking, and spending quality time with their loved ones.
Lindsey is the newest members of our staff. She is a licensed psychiatrist, specializing in medication management and psychotherapy. She was born and raised in Pennsylvania and enjoys traveling, attending performing arts shows, and spending time with her dachshund, Theo.
Second-Year Graduate Clinical Social Work Intern
Zoe is a second-year clinical social work intern pursuing her MSW at the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice. She grew up in New York and lives in Kensington with her partner and two pups. Zoe likes to cook with friends, take long road-trips, and be outdoors (preferably with a book).
Post-Graduate Clinical Social Work Fellow
Psalm is a post-graduate clinical social work fellow. She is from Philadelphia, went to college in Greensboro North Carolina, and attended Bryn Mawr for graduate school. She enjoys the Harry Potter series, watching Grey’s Anatomy, and hot yoga classes.
Post-Graduate Clinical Social Work Fellow
Ilene is one of the post-graduate clinical social work fellows. She grew up in Upstate New York and lived in New York City for many years. She went to both college and graduate school in Philadelphia, where she now resides with her family. Reading, exercising, watching TV and movies, spending time at the beach, and enjoying the company of family and friends are some of what brings her joy.
Ania is a licensed social worker who grew up in and around Philadelphia and in Warsaw, Poland. Her bilingual and bicultural upbringing led her to discover the power of metaphors and symbolism. To this day she loves all kinds of music, poetry, and paintings.
Joanne is an integral part of the Counseling Services team. She can be found helping students and staff in the front desk. Her self-care includes cheering on the Eagles and long walks with her puppy, Willow. Joanne also loves spending time on the shore and in the mountains with her family and friends.
Jill is a Bryn Mawr College and a licensed clinical social worker. She has lived in the Midwest, East Coast and south coast, and is of Italian and Eastern European descent. Jill is an avid baker, walker, and bicyclist. She also enjoys supporting and collecting indigenous artwork, and enjoys comedy and satire as an extracurricular hobby.
