Director of Counseling
Polly is a Bryn Mawr alumna and a licensed clinical social worker who lives with her long-time partner and her dog, Jasper. She loves reading fiction and nonfiction, watching dramas on Netflix and the BBC, and is a political junky.
Katherine Evering-Rowe (she/her)
Staff Counselor
Katherine is one of the staff counselors. She is a first generation Jamaican-American. Primarily raised in coastal New England, Katherine appreciates cool weather, all things shellfish, and wool sweaters. Her self-care includes making pottery, singing in the car, sitting with a meditation group, and watching (many) medical dramas.
Ruth Frank (she/her)
Staff Psychiatrist
Ruth began working in the Counseling Service in 2018. Having lived and gone to medical school in New York City, she did her psychiatry residency in Philadelphia at Jefferson. She has studied dance and karate and, for the last 15 years, practices tai chi. She enjoys reading, writing poetry, time spent with family and friends, travel, and museums.
Lindsey Harvilla (she/her)
Staff Psychiatrist
Lindsey is a licensed psychiatrist, specializing in medication management and psychotherapy. She was born and raised in Pennsylvania and enjoys traveling, attending performing arts shows, and spending time with her dachshund, Theo.
Bonner (they/them)
Staff Counselor
Bonner is a licensed social worker who grew up between Dallas, TX and Rainbow City, Panama. Bonner's self-care includes relaxing with a good book, baking anything, running, and gardening with their wife.
Ania Kubin (she/her)
Staff Counselor
Ania is a licensed social worker who grew up in and around Philadelphia and in Warsaw, Poland. Her bilingual and bicultural upbringing led her to discover the power of metaphors and symbolism. To this day she loves all kinds of music, poetry, and paintings.
Joanne Maleno (she/her)
Receptionist
Joanne is an integral part of the Counseling Services team. She can be found helping students and staff in the front desk. Her self-care includes cheering on the Eagles and long walks with her puppy, Willow. Joanne also loves spending time on the shore and in the mountains with her family and friends.
Jill McElliogott (she/her)
Staff Counselor
Jill is a Bryn Mawr College and a licensed clinical social worker. She has lived in the Midwest, East Coast and south coast, and is of Italian and Eastern European descent. Jill is an avid baker, walker, and bicyclist. She also enjoys supporting and collecting indigenous artwork, and enjoys comedy and satire as an extracurricular hobby.
Barbara Fenig (she/her)
MSW Intern
Barbara is a Social Work intern and graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania. Before pursuing her MSW degree, Barbara worked in the literary arts world and has an MFA in fiction writing from Columbia University. A native New Yorker, she has also lived in Texas, Connecticut, Kentucky, and Arizona. Her self-care includes reading, swimming, gardening, and road tripping. She lives in Philadelphia with her beloved, Patrick and their cat, Billie.
Jonathan Colvson (he/him)
MSW Intern
Jonathan is a second-year student in the Master of Social Work program at the University of Pennsylvania. He grew up both in the Philadelphia area and in Binghamton, New York. In his free time Jonathan can be found reading, writing, sketching, or practicing a variety of musical instruments. His self-care includes walks outdoors, meditation, and spending quality time with friends, family, and pets.
Frances Berger (she/her)
MSW Intern
Frances is a second-year student in the masters program at the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research at Bryn Mawr College. Frances was born and raised in Philadelphia and returned for graduate school after spending two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cameroon. For self care, she enjoys day trips to the beach, re-watching early 2000’s reality tv with her roommates, and going on bike rides around the city.
