Technology Services Coordinator

Technology Services Coordinator

THE POSITION

Bryn Mawr College is seeking a full-time Technology Services Coordinator, concentrating in safety- and security-related systems.  Certain technologies such as an electronic key /access system, cameras, emergency communication system, radio communication system, and fire alarm systems are tools used to assist the College’s Campus Safety department in achieving its mission to ensure the safety and security of the faculty, staff, students, and visitors to Bryn Mawr College’s campus.  The Technology Services Coordinator will be responsible for understanding and maintaining these safety-related systems, ensuring they reliably function and are managed such that they add value to the security of the campus.  In addition, the Technology Services Coordinator will research and propose new technologies or improved utilization of existing technologies that can enhance safety or increase efficiency for the department and for the campus.  He/she/they must also make sure that all related functions and procedures are clearly documented.  This person will be a member of the Campus Safety team and will assist with some other departmental functions as necessary.

Standard hours for this position are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm M-F, but because all safety systems are required to be functional and the department operates at all times (24-hours a day, 365 days a year), the flexibility to work occasionally on nights and weekends is required.
