Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

Bryn Mawr College has an opening for an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.

THE POSITION

The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will work together with the Head Strength Coach, and will mainly be responsible for the speed, agility, and conditioning programming of our Varsity athletics teams. A qualified candidate will be required to teach running form, exercise technique, as well as assist with form cues, spotting, and the overall safety of the field and the weight room.  Interested applicants should demonstrate knowledge of and proficiency in anatomy and physiology, exercise science, fundamental and Olympic-style weight-lifting exercises, and sport-specific SAQ. Candidates should also possess a passion for women’s athletics.

Qualified applicants will be able to demonstrate the ability to instruct, to communicate technique refinement through various teaching methods, and to demand a higher level of performance through positive feedback and cues.  A certification in Strength and Conditioning or Personal Training is required.  Adult CPR/AED certification is required. 

Preferred qualifications include NCSA certifications and knowledge of Olympic lifts.

Additional instructor certifications (Yoga, Spinning, Kettlebells, TRX, etc.) are welcome. Additional classes or duties may be assigned based upon experience and skill set.
