The College promotes faculty scholarship through funds that directly support research activities. The College's most significant support for scholarship is provided through Professional Leaves and Sabbaticals. The program is for continuing members of the faculty.

Office of Sponsored Research
The Office of Sponsored Research helps members of the Bryn Mawr community find and manage funding for research and scholarly projects.
Faculty Research Pool
The Faculty Research Pool is for the remuneration of minor expenses related to research and publication. Up to $1,000 per year is available to tenured, tenure-track and continuing (CNTT) faculty. Professors holding named chairs may have other research funds and are not eligible to apply.
Faculty Travel Pool
The Faculty Travel Pool provides $3,000 for continuing faculty members to share their work with others at conferences and other scholarly forums.

The Office of Sponsored research provides assistance to those seeking research funding opportunities from external sources.
Professional Leaves for Faculty
The College's program of professional leaves for continuing members of the faculty reflects a strong institutional commitment to faculty scholarship and to the relationship between research and teaching.
Tri-College Faculty Forum Grants
Tri-College Faculty Forum Grants funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, were established to support initiatives and programs that foster collaborations between faculty at Bryn Mawr, Haverford and Swarthmore Colleges. These collaborations can be in the areas of research, pedagogy, governance or service, and work/life balance.
