Important Information Regarding Dining Services Early Return Program Meals

Meal Costs for Early Return Programs
Departments are accountable for the entire cost of meals "ordered" for their Early Return Program participants. This includes all associated operational, staffing, and food production expenses, not just the cost of meals consumed.


Early Return Door Rates: August 15 to August 31, 2025
Breakfast - $9.50
Lunch - $13.00
Dinner - $16.00

Managing Students in Multiple Programs:
The BMCDS system cannot accommodate tracking meal orders for students participating in multiple Early Return Programs. To address this:
▪ During the recruitment process, inquire if students are enrolled in other Early Return Programs.
▪ Clearly identify which department will be designated as the primary contact for ordering meals for these students.
▪ Departments with shared responsibility for a student's meals must establish a cost-sharing agreement, as Dining Services will only issue a bill to one department per student.

Early Return Program Meal Dates:
• First Meal: Breakfast on Friday, August 15
• Last Meal: Brunch on Sunday, August 31 (before semester meal plans begin)

Customs Meal Information (do you have First Year or DLT participants?):
• If your program includes Customs meals (offered after August 27), submit a separate list of participants who qualify (this can save your ER program substantial costs).
• The first Customs meal will be lunch on Wednesday, August 27.

Food Security Reminder:
• Please inform participants before their arrival on campus if you will not be providing all meals during their Early Return Program stay. This includes meals before, during, and after their program dates.
• The semester meal plan does not begin serving meals until dinner on August 31.

Form Submission Deadline:
All information regarding Early Return Program meals must be submitted by Friday, July 18, 2025.
