Join the Department of Transnational Italian Studies for a symposium in celebration of Philadelphia's global cultural heritage in the year of the United States Semiquincentennial, the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia.

Students from Luca Zipoli's Tri-Co Philly course “Philadelphia the Global City: The Italian Legacy across Time” (ITAL B240) will present the outcomes of the research projects that they have conducted during the semester on the diverse legacies that made Philadelphia become a globalized city. They will also launch a collaborative digital map that they built in collaboration with LITS to illuminate the city's cross-cultural arts and history.

This event is open to the broadest Bi-Co community and to anyone interested, and will be followed by a reception.

The event is co-sponsored by the Tri-Co Philly Program and by LITS.
