Black Alumnae/i Fund
Established in 2008 and revitalized in 2020, the Black Alumnae/i Fund supports students who share a cultural background or personally identify with the African Diaspora in their personal and professional growth, including members of the following Alliance of Multicultural Organizations (AMO) groups:
- Sisterhood*
Provides a space to uplift, celebrate, and encourage those who identify with the African Diaspora.
- BACaSO
Fosters community among and promotes the needs of students of African and Caribbean descent.
- Mujeres*
Provides a space for Latinx students and allies to have conversations about and celebrate cultural identities, and to educate the Bryn Mawr community on Latinx issues occurring both on and off campus.
- Zami+
A group for queer BIPOC both on and off campus focused on inclusion and diversity, as well as discovering and embracing identities.
Examples of funding might include internships, research funds, or funding for activities such as graduate school entrance exam test preparation. The Fund is administered through the Career & Civic Engagement Center (formerly LILAC).
