Through this program, alumnae/i, parents, and friends hear directly from distinguished faculty, explore new ideas, and engage in thoughtful conversation.

Upcoming - Jennifer Skirkanich

Join us for a presentation by Dr. Jennifer Skirkanich, Senior Lecturer at Bryn Mawr College and Director of the STEM in the Liberal Arts Fellows Program (STEMLA Fellows Program). Dr. Skirkanich will share insights from her recent research examining how STEM programs influence students’ sense of belonging, development of a STEM identity, and persistence in scientific fields—particularly among first-generation and limited-income students. Her work highlights the critical role of inclusive teaching/mentorship, structured research experiences, and faculty pedagogical support in fostering student success and retention in STEM pathways.
