Vice President, Finance & Administration
Bryn Mawr College is seeking a mission-driven, and strategic financial and operational leader to serve as the next Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA). At a moment of institutional momentum and transition, the VPFA will be a critical member of the senior leadership team and a key partner and trusted advisor to President Wendy Cadge and to the Board of Trustees. The VPFA will function as Bryn Mawr’s chief financial allocator, bringing discipline, transparency, and long-term modeling to support the student experience and academic innovation including a new teaching load model, and sustainable enrollment economics. The successful candidate will play a central role in aligning financial strategy, operational excellence, and values driven decision-making, while serving as a highly visible and credible leader across a deeply relational campus community.
The VPFA will partner closely with and support the Board of Trustees and several key committees, including finance, audit, and building and grounds. Direct reports to the VPFA include the Controller, the Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer, the Budget Manager, Associate Vice President for Facilities Management, Executive Director of Campus Safety, and the Director of Administrative Services (which includes conferences and events, dining services, environmental health and safety, transportation, the bookshop, day care, and the post office.)

Qualifications: The new VPFA will be an experienced financial, operational, and administrative leader with exceptional analytical and management skills as well as an entrepreneurial spirit, with a willingness to explore new and creative opportunities to ensure the long-term fiscal health of the College. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of the higher education landscape and the competitive challenges facing higher education institutions. To that end, the VPFA will understand principles of enrollment management, including tuition discounting, and financial aid policies.
- Bachelor’s degree required. MBA and/or related graduate degree(s) strongly preferred.
- Ten-plus years of experience in financial, administrative, and operational leadership roles in a mission-driven institution with deep knowledge of financial management, operations, HR, facilities, and administrative services.
- A strong strategic orientation with the ability to serve as a trusted partner and advisor to the President and collaborate closely with other senior leaders and members of the Board of Trustees.
- Demonstrated record of effectively leading an institution in long-term financial and operational planning.
- A strong manager with experience providing operational leadership and mentorship to a talented team.
- In addition to contributing as a member of the senior leadership team, a commitment to collaboration, communication, and creative problem solving with faculty, students and staff leaders and partners.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with the Board of Trustees, serving as a trusted strategic partner and advisor on financial stewardship, risk, and long-term institutional priorities.
