Approval to study abroad is formally granted by the Study Abroad Committee. See the eligibility requirements for more information. The Major Adviser Evaluation Form is an important factor in the evaluation process. Before you complete this form, you and the student should discuss their study abroad plans in detail, including both program choice and semester of study.

(Please note: if a student is a double major, only one Major Adviser Evaluation Form is required.)

Deadlines for Submission

The evaluation forms must be submitted the following dates, depending on the student's program of choice:

• Duke Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies - Rome
• DIS Stockholm
• Spelman College

Access Instructions

For Bryn Mawr Faculty - The Major Adviser Evaluation Form can be accessed on BiONiC through two different links (via the Major Work Plan or the BMC Students Menu).

Going from the Major Work Plan (Recommended)

There is a direct link faculty can click to the Major Advisor Evaluation that lives in the student's Major Work Plan. This is located at the very bottom of the page (see the screenshot below). From there, the student's information is automatically loaded into the evaluation form. 

The submission status of the major evaluation form can be also be viewed upon completion. Once the evaluation form has been submitted, a message stating “Status: Evaluation form has been submitted” will appear that will be visible to both you and the student (see screen shot below). The form itself and the information provided on the form will not be accessible to students.

Going from "BMC Students" Menu

The Major Adviser Evaluation Form can also be accessed under the "BMC Students" Menu in BiONiC (see screenshot below). To pull the student's form, the student's information needs to be entered into the system. However, the loading time using this process can be delayed, so it is recommended that faculty use the Major Work Planto access the evaluation form.

For Haverford Faculty - Bryn Mawr sophomores who are majoring at Haverford should ask Haverford faculty to complete the Wufoo Study Abroad Major Adviser Evaluation form.
