Mary Beth Horvath

Mary Beth (MB) Horvath began advising students as a graduate student at Syracuse University. She joined Bryn Mawr in 2002 after spending a few years working at Virginia Commonwealth University and Cabrini University. Dean Horvath received her doctorate from Widener University focusing her research on the impact role stress, conflict, and ambiguity have on college student paraprofessionals. She is the first-year class dean and advises all new students the summer before they arrive and during their first year. She plans Customs New Student Orientation and THRIVE, and oversees First-Year Experience. Dean Horvath is an avid runner and enjoys kayaking and crocheting amigurumi.
