Biography

Dr. Michelle Talbert-Horsey is an innovative leader who has spent a good part of her career in executive roles and has a broad range of experience as a director of higher education, coaching, and career development. She is passionate about developing engaging solutions to foster students’ academic success and designing innovations to drive change.

Throughout her 25-year career, Dr. Talbert-Horsey has been successful in coordinating a broad range of strategies and programmatic initiatives to ensure academic quality, student success, and positive learning outcomes. She is both a nationally certified and licensed professional counselor in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Talbert-Horsey received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Duquesne University, along with a Master of Education in Cross-Cultural Community Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh. She also has an undergraduate degree in Sociology from University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and a Certificate in Women’s Leadership Development from Villanova University.

Not only has Dr. Talbert-Horsey been recognized for designing a broad range of career development programs, but she has also been praised for opening the doors to attainable educational opportunities and expanding access and equity to underserved and racially diverse students. Dr. Talbert-Horsey is a member of NASPA and the Phi Kapa Phi Academic Honor Society. She is passionate about implementing programs to drive student success and learning outcomes.
