The Kung Lab houses a wide range of equipment and instrumentation to carry out experiments in molecular biology, biochemistry, and protein crystallography, including:
- ARI Crystal Gryphon robotic liquid handler
 - Akta Pure for fast protein liquid chromatography (FPLC)
 - Infors Multitron shaking incubators, warming and refrigeration
 - Sorvall Lynx superspeed floor centrifuge
 - Nikon stereomicroscope for crystal examination and manipulation
 - NanoDrop spectrophotometer
 - Gradient PCR thermal cycler with touchscreen
 - Microcentrifuges
 - Sonicator for cell disruption
 - Gel electrophoresis equipment
 - Freezer, -20 °C
 - Refrigerator, 4 °C

The Kung Lab also has access to a wide range of shared equipment in Park Science Building in both the Chemistry and Biology Departments, including:
