Itinerary

Depart gateway city.

Arrive at Brussels Airport, where an AHI Travel representative will be on hand to take you to the ship in Antwerp. After getting settled, walk through Antwerp’s quaint cobblestone streets with your guide to view its wealth of medieval architecture, including the cathedral, town hall and narrow guild halls in Grote Markt square. Later, find out more about Belgian culture from a local expert. The ship remains docked in Antwerp.

Take a scenic drive to Bruges for a guided stroll in the romantic, Gothic old town. Afterward, choose from a visit to (1) the Groeninge Museum to admire its artwork, (2) the De Halve Maan Brewery to learn about local brewing or (3) a chocolatier’s shop to delve into Belgian chocolate-making. Enjoy lunch on your own in Bruges, then rejoin the ship in Middelburg and sail to Veere. Gather for tonight’s Welcome Reception and Dinner.

Today, spend your free time exploring in Veere, a pretty seaside town with a 15th-century town hall and delightful shops. You can also join an Elective Activity at the artificial island of Neeltje Jans and its Delta Expo. On this optional tour, learn about the Delta Works, a series of massive dams and storm surge barriers that protects the significant portion of the Netherlands that sits below sea level. The ship overnights in Willemstad.

Cruise to Schoonhoven and disembark for your selected excursion. Today, choose from (1) a trip to see The Hague’s landmarks like the Dutch parliament building and the Peace Palace, plus a visit to the storied Mauritshuis which houses Dutch and Flemish masterpieces or (2) a guided walk in historic Old Delft, along with a tour of the Royal Delft porcelain factory, founded in 1653. Return to the ship for lunch and sail to Kampen.

After docking in Kampen, travel to Floriade Expo 2022, gardening’s world-class festival held every ten years! Inside the Green City Arboretum, delight in the beautiful abundance of unique trees, plants and flowers, and be inspired with new ideas! Discover imaginative solutions for a healthier planet in the Green City of the Future, and explore districts on food, energy and health. Return to the ship, where you’ll learn about the Dutch Golden Age artists. The ship cruises toward Amsterdam.

Board a canal cruiser today for a tour through the tree-lined canals that make this romantic city truly unforgettable. Admire some of the city’s 1,500 bridges, the elegant, gabled homes and the architectural gems of the bustling city harbor. Afterward, explore more on your own in Amsterdam, where the ship moors tonight. Later, learn about contemporary life in the Netherlands from a local expert.

Today, choose from (1) a guided walk through Keukenhof Gardens, an 80-acre paradise of tulips, daffodils and other bright blooms, (2) a bike ride through lush Waterland, made up of nine historical villages outside Amsterdam or (3) a visit to the acclaimed Rijksmuseum to see famous works by Dutch masters. Then make your own plans during free time this afternoon before gathering for a Farewell Reception and Dinner to commemorate your journey.

After breakfast, bid farewell to your fellow travelers, disembark the ship and head home. Note: Itinerary may change due to local conditions.
