Become a Fellow
- Identify as a limited income student
- Have a stated interest in a STEM major
- Be a US citizen, permanent resident, US national or admitted refugee *international and undocumented students can be considered for a limited number of spots
The program is open to all students with a stated interest in STEM. Preference will be given to students interested in biology, chemistry, computer science, geology, mathematics, physics and/ or biochemistry majors.
The STEMLA program is funded to serve 20 students per academic year.
Admission to the Program
Students admitted to Bryn Mawr College, whose applications indicate they meet the eligibility criteria, will be invited to apply to the program and attend an open, virtual information session in the Spring. Admitted students that are invited to apply to the program will be asked to fill out a simple application. Applications will open the same day invitations are sent out to admitted students. The deadline to apply to the STEMLA program is May 15.
After May 15, the STEMLA team will reach out to students to set up a virtual interview. Final STEMLA admissions decisions will be sent out at the end of May or early June. Additional information regarding the summer program will be sent to selected Fellows in mid to late June.
