6:25 pm | Alarm | Graduate School of Social Work
An intrusion alarm was received from the Graduate School of Social Work on Airdale Road. The alarm was set off by a student entering the building. The alarm was reset by the Officer.

A fire alarm trouble was received from New Dorm Dining. The alarm was set oI by a dirty smoke detector. The alarm was reset by the Officer.

Campus Safety responded to the report of a student transport bus that backed into a railing at the Ward building. No injuries reported.

2:55 pm | Suspicious Activity | Batten House

Campus Safety responded to Batten for the report of someone trying to enter Batten from the back door. The subject was gone when Campus Safety arrived. This incident possibly related to the incident on 12/20/25.

A report of two males arguing in the area of the Canaday Library was received. The subjects were gone from the library and surrounding area when Campus Safety arrived.

A rusted padlock was found by Officers during a check of the Batten House. Facilities was contacted and replaced the lock.

1:02 am | Intoxication-Medical Response | New Dorm

Campus Safety responded to the report of an intoxicated student who was ill.  The student was evaluated by EMS, refused transport to the hospital, and monitored by the on-call nurse.

A student reported receiving harassing texts.  The incident was referred to the Lower Merion Police who responded.

A fire alarm was received from Erdman Hall on Morris Avenue.  A smoke detector had been activated.  No fire or smoke was found.  The alarm was reset by the Officer.

A student reported the odor of burning marijuana in the hall area.  It was determined that another student had smoked outside and reentered bringing the smell inside.

A fire alarm was received from Merion Hall on New Gulph Road.  A smoke detector had been activated due to food being burned.  The alarm was reset by the Officer.

The manager reported that sometime between Friday 1/16/26 and Tuesday 1/20/26, over a case of soda went missing without being scanned through the sales system. Campus Safety to follow up.

Campus Safety responded to The Mermont for the report of an injured student. The student was transported to the Wellness Center and subsequently transported to Bryn Mawr imaging for further evaluation.

A fire alarm was received from Denbigh Hall on New Gulph Road. A student had burned a cookie in a foil wrapper in a microwave. The Fire Department responded to assist with smoke removal.

Campus Safety responded to the report of a StaM member with shortness of breath. The subject was transported to Bryn Mawr hospital by Campus Safety for further evaluation.

Campus Safety responded to the report of a student in distress at the Graduate School of Social Work on Airdale Road. The student was transported by Campus Safety to The Wellness Center.

Campus Safety responded to the report of a student who struck trier head in the parking lot of Brecon Hall.  The student and three friends were transported to Bryn Mawr hospital by Campus Safety for further evaluation.

Campus Safety responded to the report of teenage boys trespassing inside of Erdman Hall.  The group was gone arrival.  A check of the campus located a group matching the description of the trespassers. The group was dispersed from campus.

A student reported that on Thursday 2/26/26 at about 11:30 pm when walking near the Shipley garage on Merion Avenue a man was standing on the sidewalk and then stepped aside and allowed her to pass. Report for record.

A student called campus safety to report a suspicious odor in their dorm room. Facilities and Campus Safety responded and determined the student had overloaded a power strip with an electric teapot. The student agreed not to use the teapot.

A fire alarm was received from Rhoads Hall on New Gulph Road. The alarm was tripped by contractors sanding the floors. The system was reset by Campus Safety.

Campus Safety conducted a well-being check on a student who reportedly had threatened to harm their self.  The student denied making the threat and was referred to support resources. The Dean’s Office was advised.

The Director of Counseling Services requested Campus Safety conduct a well-being check on a student who had contacted Proto-Call Thursday night.  Campus Safety contacted the student in person who said they felt better and would walk into The Wellness Center next week. The Director of Counseling Services was advised.

A student called campus safety to report what they believed to be a woman screaming in the area. Campus Safety checked the area for over thirty minutes and found nothing. No other calls were received by Campus Safety or the Lower Merion Police.

Campus Safety responded to the report of a student who had fallen down steps.  The student said they mis stepped and fell down three steps, injuring their ankle. The student refused transport to the hospital but accepted ice packs from Officers. Photos were taken of the stairwell.

A staff member called Campus Safety to report that flyers had been posted on the crosswalk sings on N. Merion Ave. at Pembroke Arch.  The flyers were removed.

A student came to Campus Safety to report another student had posted messages on social media directed at them that they felt were threatening.   Investigation continuing.

Campus Safety received a report of a car possibly ‘keyed’ while parked in the Radnor parking lot.

Campus Safety responded to the report of a student whose heart was racing due to too much caffeine. The student refused EMS and transport to the hospital. Campus Safety transported the student to their dorm.

Campus Safety responded to the report of two students throwing up in the bathroom of Rockefeller Hall. Both students became sick after consuming alcohol.  EMS was contacted and determined one student well enough to remain on campus. The other student was transported to Bryn Mawr Hospital by EMS for treatment.

Campus Safety responded to the report of a student throwing up in their dorm room in Pembroke East Hall. The student became sick after consuming alcohol and medication.  EMS was contacted and determined the student should go to the hospital. The student refused treatment and to go to the hospital.

Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm at Rockefeller Hall. The alarm was due to a camper burning food in a microwave oven. The microwave was taken out of service and windows opened to clear the smoke. The panel was reset and Facilities and Housekeeping were notified.

Campus Safety responded to an active fire alarm at the Goodhart Theater. Bryn Mawr Fire Company, Facilities and a serviceperson were dispatched. The alarm was due to a faulty valve in the dry system. The panel was reset and a fire watch conducted.

Campus Safety responded to an active fire alarm at Pembroke Hall. The odor of hair spray was present in the room where the detector was activated. Facilities responded and checked the system. The panel was reset.

Campus Safety responded to an active fire alarm at 140 Morris Avenue, the Human Resources building. Bryn Mawr Fire Company, Facilities and a serviceperson were dispatched. The system was checked and the alarm was deemed false. The panel was reset.

Campus Safety observed a suspicious male taking pictures around Pen-Y-Groes. Campus Safety spoke to the subject who said they lived in the area and frequently take pictures of buildings for their business. The person left the area without incident.

Campus Safety responded to a hood alarm at the Park Science building. The alarm was silenced, and the support serviced Director was contacted and advised.

Campus Safety responded to a door alarm at Rockefeller Hall. A door was found ajar and secured. Another door alarm had to be silenced after it continued to sound. Facilities was notified.

Campus Safety responded to Brecon Hall for someone throwing up. The person refused medical attention and transport and was advised to call Campus Safety if their conditioned worsened.

A transportation employee came into Campus Safety to report damage to van #16. The driver did not know how old the damage was or when it occurred. Pictures were taken for record.

Campus Safety responded to an alarm at the Goodhart Theater. Facilities and a serviceperson were dispatched. The alarm was due to a faulty valve in the dry system. The panel was reset and fire watches are to continue.

A student came into the Campus Safety office to report a lost purse.  The student later called Campus Safety to report they found their purse in their room.

Campus Safety observed that flags were missing from a professor’s office door.  It was determined that the flags were stolen by three juveniles on campus attending a camp.  The campers were removed from campus and issued Defiant Trespass notices.

A delivery driver called Campus Safety to turn over the delivery of a large knife. It was determined that the knife was ordered by a camper staying in New Dorm, and the knife was turned over to the Conference & Events Office.

Campus Safety responded to an active fire alarm at Merion Hall. The alarm was due to the strong odor of “popcorn and chips” in a camper’s room. The alarm was reset.

A water leak was discovered at the Campus Safety Office.  Facilities was advised and responded.

7:49 pm | Damage to College Property | Old Library 

Initially reported as Vandalism, it was later determined that a plaque in the area of the Old Library was damaged by contractors and was in the possession of Facilities. Pictures were taken for record.

9:50 pm | Suspicious Activity | Old Library 

Unknown actor(s) tampered with the magnetic decal on the Campus Safety patrol vehicle, causing it to detach later in the evening. Report for record.

11:36 pm | Alarm | Rhoads Hall 

A camp chaperone called to report an alarm sounding. On arrival Fire Strobes were activated. Room 384 admitted to using a blow dryer to dry their hair, which may have triggered the alarm.  The alarm reset but continued to display a tamper alarm. Facilities advised.

Campus Safety observed a LMPD patrol car turn around on Morris Avenue and enter the Erdman parking lot. LMPD had observed someone speeding on an E-bike and attempted to contact the driver.  The E-bike driver left the area without stopping.

A window screen from a first floor bathroom was found outside lying on the ground. Upon checking the bathroom the screen belonged to was under construction. Facilities advised. Report for record.

11:35 am | Vehicle Accident | Merion Parking Lot 

Campus Safety responded to the report of a delivery truck that had struck an overhead wire causing it to hang lower. The driver and vehicles information was obtained and the wire was repaired.

6:54 pm | Information Received | Wyndham Alumnae Parking Lot 

LMPD called Campus Safety to the report an alumnae reported to their Department that they believed they were being followed. The alumna was found in the parking lot of the Wyndham Alumnae House and said they came to the campus because they felt safe.  LMPD responded and completed an incident report.
