State Sales Tax Exemption Forms

Sales tax exemption forms can be used to make sales tax free purchases on behalf of the College that are ordinary, necessary, and directly related to your job duties.

The Purchasing Office can provide you with exemption certificates for the following states:

  • Pennsylvania
  • District of Columbia
  • Florida
  • Illinois
  • Maryland
  • Massachusetts
  • New Jersey
  • New York

To obtain a certificate, please email a request to accountspayable@brynmawr.edu.  You will need to include the following in your request: 

  1. Desired state certificate(s)
  2. Vendor/Seller name(s)
  3. Vendor/Seller address(es), including city, state & zip code
  4. Distribution method - preferred method for vendor to receive the certificate
    • Purchasing sends directly to vendor - provide email contact
    • Employee will hand deliver to vendor
