Meet the Counseling Staff
Keisha Smith (she/her): Director of Counseling Services
Keisha Smith is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Pennsylvania and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Alabama. She received her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Temple University in 2011; Master of Social Work (MSW) from Temple University in 2012; and a Master of Criminal Justice from Boston University in 2016.
Keisha has over 10 years of experience providing therapeutic services to adults and children and families across the City of Philadelphia in various settings such as inpatient, residential, outpatient, and community programming. She also has experience working in higher education as an adjunct and most recently as the Chair of the Social Work Department at La Salle University. She is passionate about the well-being of college students and is excited to continue this work in her new role as Clinical Director of Counseling Services in the Health and Wellness Center. Keisha's self-care includes reality T.V., brunch, and reading.
Tisa Baena (she/her): Part-Time Counselor
Tisa is a licensed social worker and Part-Time counselor. She is life-long Philadelphian, and NPR enthusiast. She relaxes with friends, books, any outdoor activity, and lots of quality time with her large extended family. Ask her to go on a walk and she'll say yes!
Sydney Fellah (she/they): Staff Counselor
Sydney is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and completed their training in Baltimore, Maryland. Sydney is a Philadelphia transplant and growing to love this city, but Baltimore will always be home. As a Jewish, queer, and neurodivergent therapist, Sydney enjoys working with young adults navigating their self-concept and identity, life transitions, and exploring strengths. In their free time, Sydney can be found wrangling any one of her four pets, starting-and-stopping a new hobby, engaging in mindful movement, or reading the latest fiction novel!
Jonathan Colvson (he/him): Staff Counselor
Jonathan is a licensed social worker and staff counselor at Bryn Mawr College Counseling Services. Jonathan grew up both in the Philadelphia area and in Binghamton, New York. In his free time, Jonathan can be found reading, writing, sketching, or practicing a variety of musical instruments. His self-care activities include walks outdoors, meditation, and spending quality time with friends, family, and pets.
Ruth Frank (she/her): Staff Psychiatrist
Ruth began working in the Counseling Service in 2018. Having lived and gone to medical school in New York City, she did her psychiatry residency in Philadelphia at Jefferson. She has studied dance and karate and, for the last 15 years, practices tai chi. She enjoys reading, writing poetry, time spent with family and friends, travel, and museums.
Cecelia Johnson-Dunlap (she/her): Staff Psychiatrist
Dr. Johnson-Dunlap is a native Philadelphian. She has done most of her training and practice both in and around Philadelphia and the suburbs. She completed her medical training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Residency at Thomas Jefferson and Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. Although she loves to travel there's still no place like home. Her love of culture, art and diversity fuel her passion for psychiatry.
Sara Lewis (they/them): Graduate Social Work Clinical Fellow
Sara was born and raised outside of Cleveland, Ohio, and began graduate school at Bryn Mawr after spending five years in San Francisco. Prior to pursuing Social Work, Sara received a master's degree in Women and Gender Studies. For self-care, Sara enjoys ceramics, baking for friends, hiking, and spending time near the water.
Joanne Maleno (she/her): Receptionist
Joanne is an integral part of the Counseling Services team. She can be found helping students and staff in the front desk. Her self-care includes cheering on the Eagles and long walks with her puppy, Willow. Joanne also loves spending time on the shore and in the mountains with her family and friends.
