Enrollment Slate Captain
Bryn Mawr College has an opening for an Enrollment Slate Captain.
Reporting directly to the Vice President for Enrollment, the Enrollment Slate Captain is responsible for central coordination of all projects and functions in Slate, the Division’s Customer Relationship Management system (CRM). The successful candidate will have a blend of technical and project management expertise, providing strategic and tactical oversight of Slate in service of Enrollment goals, and leading efforts among Slate Captains and liaisons to update and maintain Slate functions. The successful candidate will work with the Enrollment Leadership Team, Library and Information Technology Services (LITS), and other Enrollment liaisons to coordinate, build and enhance data-driven admissions CRM processes, resources, and recruitment tools, while ensuring data integrity. The Enrollment Slate Captain will also partner with the division’s Enrollment and Institutional Research Data Analyst to implement data analyses as warranted.
Characteristic Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Primary responsibility for the coordination and successful execution of Slate projects and functions pertinent to Bryn Mawr’s Enrollment division, including project prioritization and workflows.
In collaboration with the LITS Slate Administrator and liaisons in Enrollment, the Slate Captain coordinates and drives a production calendar to plan, initiate, manage, monitor, and close out Slate maintenance tasks and projects.
Manage and provide communication regarding project status, escalating issues that impact scope or timing; identifying opportunities for follow-up work and/or new projects; and preparing findings into summaries and documents suitable for presentation.
System Monitoring:
Partner with the LITS Slate Administrator to monitor system performance, proactively identifying and working to resolve Slate issues to ensure optimal functionality.
Determine processes and procedures within the system for the Enrollment Division and campus partners.
Streamline workflows, ensure data integrity, and work with liaisons across campus to ensure timely execution of annual system updates and maintenance.
Liaise with LITS and other campus partners to support system integrations between Slate and other student information systems, ensuring alignment with system capabilities and institutional goals.
The Slate Captain must stay current with Slate platform updates, best practices, and community resources to continuously improve system usage.
Documentation, Training and User Security:
- Manage accurate and current documentation of Slate practices and procedures.
- Provide ongoing Slate training for key users on staff and serve as primary security administrator for the shared Slate instance, maintaining and updating custom permissions and user roles.
Reporting/AI Integration:
- Responsible for developing reporting tools that will be distributed among enrollment departments and partners from across campus.
- In consultation with the Vice President for Enrollment and LITS, the Slate Captain will co-lead exploration, discussion, and integration of AI tools to optimize Slate.
External Enrollment Partner and Vendor Support:
Coordinate Slate-related projects with specified outside vendors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of admissions experience with progressive work in Slate Admissions as a main CRM
7+ years of enrollment experience with primary oversight of Slate preferred.
Technical proficiency in building and maintaining queries, reports, liquid markup, configurable joins, source formats, forms, and event templates.
Experience managing and executing cyclical activities in Slate, including cycle close, cycle prep, decision release, and data management (e.g., retention policies)
Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and manage multiple projects and priorities, establish goals, and produce desired results in a timely manner.
Highly developed collaboration skills with proven ability to work effectively across departments to coordinate efforts.

Schedule & Benefits: Bryn Mawr is committed to building and sustaining a campus community where faculty and staff can thrive. This position has a standard schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday and is eligible for a hybrid-remote schedule (up to 2 days remote). Travel is not required.
