Designated for the purchase of materials in Bibliography and Medieval Studies.

Established by a gift from Margaret Simpson David, Class of 1935, in memory of her husband. Margaret Simpson David ran the Owl Bookshop for many years. Upon her death, the fund was broadened to include her. Her son George and other friends continue to contribute to this fund in her memory.

Designated for the purchase of materials for the general collection, with a preference for those that represent major new intellectual works.

Originally established by an anonymous gift as a, "Fund for the Philosophy Department in honor of Theodore and Grace de Laguna." In 1977, the donor requested the name change and a more specific designation of purpose. Additions to this fund were made by the Class of 1927 at its 50th Reunion. Grace de Laguna was a member of the Bryn Mawr College Faculty from 1907-1944; her husband, Theodore de Laguna, from 1907 to 1930; and their daughter, Frederica de Laguna, Class of 1927, was a member of the Anthropology Department from 1938 until her retirement in 1975. Frederica de Laguna refined the purpose of the fund orally to "major new intellectual works" in 1988.

Designated for the purchase of books in English literature, with a preference for Irish authors, and leisure reading materials for the Quita Woodward Room.

Established by an initial gift from James A. Develin in 1961. Mr. Develin died in January 1978 and provided a legacy to Bryn Mawr College in support of this fund.

Designated for the purchase of materials in History.

Established at the bequest of Rita Dielmann, Graduate Fellow in History 1921-22 upon her death in 1985.

Designated for the purchase of materials in the History of Religion, with a preference for those in the area of Christian Studies.

Established by a gift of the Cleveland H. Dodge Foundation in 1975.

Established by donations as "an acknowledgement of Mrs. Ehrenpreis' (Anne Henry Ehrenpreis, Class of 1948) work as a rare book cataloger and bibliographer," by her husband, Irvin Ehrenpreis, and several friends.

Established at the bequest of Francis Farquhar. Charlotte Farquhar Wing, Mrs. Farquhar's daughter, and her husband also established a book fund.

Susanna Edmundsom Hotelling (Mrs. Harold Hotelling), graduate student from 1930-32, established this fund as a memorial to Charles Ghequiere Fenwick, Professor of Political Science at Bryn Mawr College from 1914 until he retired in 1945. He died April 24, 1973.

Established by a gift of Ambassador Walter Annenberg in honor of Helen G. First, Ph.D. 1966 in Education and Child Development. Helen decided that the money should be used to create

Established by the Bryn Mawr Club of Houston, Texas, in honor of Cora Baldauf Fohs, Class of 1904. Mrs. Fohs had earlier established the Class of 1904 Book Fund. Her major subjects were German and French. She helped her husband professionally; he was an oil geologist.
