Assistant Professor of Social Work and Social Research

The Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research (GSSWSR) at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin August 1, 2026. We seek a scholar-practitioner whose research centers social work practice, policy, and knowledge development with preference for community-engaged research on one or more of the following areas: substance use, child welfare, community violence and public health, community mental health and persistent mental illness, and the carceral system.  Successful candidates will have a well-conceptualized, theoretically driven, and critically engaged program of research and strong evidence of potential for publication and dissemination. We seek a colleague who would bring established competency in advanced quantitative and/or qualitative methods and analysis and is interested in collaboration with other programs or departments at Bryn Mawr on curricular areas, scholarship, and community engagement. Requirements include completion of a MSW, two years post-MSW practice experience and completed all requirements for a Ph.D. in social work or a related discipline by the start date.
