Welcome: For Incoming Students

Welcome, Class of 2026! 

We know you are eager for information. Please go to our Entering Student Checklist for comprehensive information about the tasks you need to complete this summer and the resources available to you! 

Please note: If you have a disability and/or a chronic medical condition and believe you will need accommodations in residential life due to the symptoms of your diagnosis, then you need to make this request no later than June 1. More information is available on the Access Services website

Week of June 13: Webinar Week  
Optional webinars on a variety of topics will be offered throughout the week.  

Between June 22 and June 30: Meet Your Dean webinars will be scheduled. 
 
July 1: Health Forms Due
 
Individual advising appointments begin July 1 and continue through July 31. You'll meet with your dean individually for approximately 30 minutes via Zoom to talk about yourself, your interests, your plans, and your ideas about courses for Fall. 

July 13: Due date for Placement Exams in Foreign Language and Math and for Registration for the Emily Balch Seminar, a required first-year seminar in critical thinking and writing 

August 2-10: Course registration takes place. 

August 23: Students studying in the U.S. on an F-1 or J-1 visa can arrive at their dorm beginning at 9 a.m. Students must arrive and check in at their dorm no later than 1 p.m.

August 24: All other new students can arrive at their dorm beginning at 9 a.m. Students must arrive and check in at their dorm no later than noon.
