International Education Week Photo Contest
In honor of International Education Week, the Office of Global Engagement sponsors an annual photo contest each fall to highlight the variety of ways that Bryn Mawr students engage with international experiences. Photos may be featured on social media, used on the College website, and/or displayed in and around the Global Engagement Office.

Fall 2025 International Education Week Photo Contest
There are two distinct parts of the photo contest:
1. Experiences Abroad: Open to current students who have participated in a college-sponsored international experience, such as study abroad, summer programs (ex: Avignon, Ghana, Jordan), internships, a Hanna Holborn Gray fellowship, or a 360 program.
2. International Student Experiences: Open to current undergraduate international students

Experiences Abroad:
- A Day in The Life – Choose a photo that captures a cultural immersion experience that you had while abroad.
- The Scenic Route – Do you have a photo featuring striking natural scenery? This is your place to share!
- Stunning Skylines – Show us the best cityscapes, beautiful buildings or architecture you encountered abroad.
International Student Experiences:
- The Bryn Mawr Experience – Show us a photo that you think best captures your Bryn Mawr experience.
- Philadelphia Stories – Submit your photos taken while exploring the city of Philadelphia!
- Hometown Pride – Show us your hometown, or how you’ve brought a piece of home with you to Bryn Mawr!
General Eligibility Criteria
- Participants must be current undergraduate students.
- Students may submit one entry per category for up to two categories. Students may only win one category.
- Photos must be taken by the person submitting the entry.
- Photos must be original, high quality, and un-filtered (can be taken on a cell phone).
Experiences Abroad Criteria:
- Photos must have been taken while a Bryn Mawr undergraduate student during a Bryn Mawr College-sponsored international experience, including study abroad, summer programs (ex: Avignon, Ghana, Jordan), internships, a Hanna Holborn Gray fellowship, or a 360 program. Submissions from independent programs not funded or sponsored directly by the College will not be eligible.
- Photos must be taken during your program experience, although not necessarily at your program location. For example, if your program was in Chile but you took a photo while on an excursion in Argentina, you could submit that photo.
- Photos must be culturally appropriate and sensitive. Avoid submitting images that stereotype, exploit, or misrepresent the host country and people.
International Student Experiences Criteria:
- Participants must be current undergraduate international students.

Winning and runner-up entries may have their work featured on social media, the Global Engagement website, and/or in the Office of Global Engagement.
