Online Groups and Workshops

Counseling Services is pleased to provide all current undergraduate, graduate, and post-bac students and members of the Bryn Mawr community with support groups, workshops, and programs. All groups are free of charge. Have ideas or topic suggestions for a group or workshop? Want your student group/club to have an online support group session with our counselors? Contact sjbaker@brynmawr.edu.

This group aims to offer a safe space in which students can share experiences, support one another, develop effective communication and boundary-setting skills, and examine the way chaotic family dynamics affect current relationships and sense of self.

Everybody Has A Body: Exploring Your Body Story

Thursdays, 4-5:15 p.m. | Facilitated by Frances Berger (she/her) and Sara Lewis (they/them)

This group offers a supportive space to reflect, deepen understanding, and share about your relationship to your body. Group participants will explore the ways in which family, community, and social expectations influence our experience of our bodies. The facilitatory will support group participants in forging new paths towards body liberation. Journaling prompts and grounding practices will be used to guide participants in meeting your body with compassion. This group may appeal to folks who are struggling with body shame, adjusting to changes in their bodies, or working towards a more peaceful relationship with food or movement. The group may also be supportive for folks interested in reflecting on the impact of social forces including diet culture, fatphobia, ableism, racism, and heteronormativity in your life. Please contact slewis3@brynmawr.edu for registration and more details.
