  • Background in Mental Health Counseling and over nine years of experience working with students in educational settings.


  • Supports the holistic needs of Bryn Mawr undergraduate students
  • Non-clinical, student-centered support services
  • Partners closely with class deans, Academic Support, Access Services, Medical and Counseling Services, and Residential Life
  • Tenants of non-clinical case management: referrals, assessment, advocacy, student empowerment, and follow-up and resolution services

Reasons to Refer Students

  • Distress related to anticipated transitions and/or unexpected events
  • On and off-campus resource consultation
  • Recent physical and/or mental health hospitalization
  • Assistance with contacting faculty for short-term medical experience or personal emergencies impacting academics
  • Leave guidance and support

How to Refer Students

  • Email Sara at (faculty and staff may include the appropriate class dean on the email)
  • Include student information and a summary of concern
  • Best practice is to inform students you are referring them – include students on email if they know they are being referred
  • Students may also self-refer by emailing to schedule a meeting
