Resources
Below are some of the more common tools we support. Not seeing something you need? Search for it in AskAthena and/or contact us!
PositCloud is a online, collaborative browser-based version of the RStudio IDE with features that support teaching: computation in the cloud, shared workspaces, an assignment setting that lets students clone their own copies of RProjects, and support for autograding. See Teaching with PositCloud on AskAthena for more info.
With enough lead time, we can help you set up a JuptyerHub on a virtual machine for your course and onboard your students to using it. Schedule a consultation to learn more!
Bryn Mawr College has an academic teaching license for MATLAB that gives faculty and students unlimited compute time and the ability to use desktop software in addition to MATLAB Online. See MATLAB: Access and Installation for more information.
LITS licenses and supports SPSS, SAS, Stata and Jamovi (a GUI-based interface for R). See our College-provided software guide for info about access on public campus computers and virtual labs or install on campus-owned computers.
The College licenses and supports ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro is available on classroom, library and lab computers and for installation on campus machines. We can also help faculty and students with qGIS and many simpler browser-based tools for digital mapping; see GIS software: Map data geographically for more information.
