Assistant Registrar
Bryn Mawr College has an opening for an Assistant Registrar.
A department within the Enrollment Division, the mission of the Office of the Registrar is to support academic success by providing service and guidance to all students. We strive to help students navigate College policies and guidelines. We maintain the permanent academic records of all students. The Assistant Registrar supports the Registrar’s Office and the Enrollment Division in the functions of registration, curriculum planning, grading and registration for all programs (Graduate, Undergraduate, and Postbaccalaureate). This position serves as the faculty and academic department liaison, and coordinates services with other College offices. The Assistant Registrar is responsible for processing registration and enrollment changes throughout the academic year and completing compliance reporting to the National Student Clearinghouse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates Bi-Co registration
- Coordinates grading for all programs
- Oversees registration process, which includes appointment set-up, registration, lotteries, as well as communication with faculty and students
- Manages registration and enrollment changes throughout the semester
- Coordinates Curriculum/Course Planning process with Provosts’ Office, Department Chairs, Faculty Secretaries and Program Coordinators
- Oversees classroom assignments
- Creates newly approved courses in the College SIS
- Completes National Student Clearinghouse reporting
- Ensures Compliance with FERPA
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years experience in the performance of the registrar’s function or any combination of experience and education or training that provides the necessary skills, abilities and knowledge.
- Experience with PeopleSoft Student Administration or Workday Student preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of all Student Record functions as well as extensive knowledge of Student Records applications and software.
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Ability to manage requirements and work with a team of functional and technical staff.
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritizing skills.
- Superior interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform accurate data entry.
- Prior experience in use of computer and applicable software (Excel, Word, PeopleSoft).
