Kelsey Obringer, STEMLA Coordinator

As the STEMLA Coordinator, Kelsey Obringer oversees the day-to-day operations of the program and, in this newly created role, has been working to build-out the program’s offerings and presence on campus. She has an extensive background in higher education that started at the University of Delaware, where she managed the Ronald E. McNair Scholars program, a federally funded TRIO program for first-generation, limited-income, underrepresented students. While at Delaware, she also taught courses and worked with Undergraduate Academic Services. Kelsey started at Bryn Mawr in January 2022 after serving as an academic advisor/success coach for first-generation college students at Johns Hopkins University.

Kelsey Obringer has a PhD in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Delaware. Her favorite topic of conversation is food, which was, perhaps not surprisingly, the subject of her dissertation. She is always looking for restaurant and recipe recommendations. She has strong opinions about the superiority of Jersey tomatoes (she grew up in southern New Jersey) and considers herself a Caesar salad connoisseur. Kelsey is also an avid reader, with a strong preference for food memoirs and thrillers.
