The Education Program celebrates Alice Lesnick’s appointment as Associate Dean for Global Engagement
This appointment acknowledges the significant work Alice has undertaken to foster meaningful collaboration on and between campuses, launch several exciting initiatives, and strengthen Bryn Mawr’s international engagement.
Provost and Professor Mary Osirim writes: “Demonstrating a highly collaborative leadership style, Alice has succeeded in developing the International Coordinating Council and three related sub-committees in which faculty and staff work together in evaluating our current international relationships, our globally-focused courses, the experiences of our international students, the range of study-abroad programs and new international opportunities...Global Bryn Mawr has also established a grant program to support summer research opportunities for students, faculty and staff.”
Some of the new international partnerships include:
The Sijal Institute in Amman, Jordan for Arabic language study
Fundación Tierra De Esperanza, Chile for summer internships
Aberystwyth University in Wales for a study-abroad program
Alice will continue to teach in and direct the Bryn Mawr-Haverford Education Program while serving as Associate Dean for Global Engagement.
Join us in congratulating Alice on her new appointment, and encouraging the ongoing work of Global Bryn Mawr!
