Major Information Sessions

Departments and programs will host information sessions (sometimes called major teas) in the spring and fall, open to current and prospective majors and minors.

Departmental Information Sessions provide students with the opportunity to learn more about the following:

  • Departmental requirements and opportunities
  • Course offerings
  • Major advising
  • Other important topics

Any student considering majoring in a particular field should try to attend the relevant information sessions. Many first and second-year students attend two to four of these events.

The Dean's Office posts information about each Major Tea/Info Session as soon as we receive it. Department chairs and department administrative assistants may also have information about teas, and students are free to contact them with any questions.
